About The Position
The purpose of this position is to lead the operation of the solid waste and recycling centers. This class works under close supervision according to set procedures.
Requirements
- Requires an Associate’s degree, vocational technical degree or specialized training that is equivalent to satisfactory completion of two years of college education.
- Over one year and up to and including two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
Responsibilities
- Supports the collection of solid waste and recyclables at convenience centers.
- Ensures centers are fully operational.
- Packs and dispatch cans.
- Collects scale tickets.
- Assists in the implementation of County solid waste goals and objectives.
- Assists in maintaining County compliance with Local, State and Federal laws regulating recycling and solid waste at collection sites.
- Performs related work as assigned.
