Under general supervision, the Solid Waste Driver operates a truck and loader along established routes to collect solid waste for the City of Victoria. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Follows assigned route to collect solid waste; operates a rear loader vehicle to collect (green) yard waste. Identifies and tags receptacles that are not in compliance with collection policies; collects out of service carts for repair or replacement. Cleans and sanitizes trucks; performs minor maintenance as needed; completes daily paperwork. Participates in cleaning and maintaining the shop and breakroom. Performs related duties as required or assigned. Other Duties: Perform all additional job-related tasks as required or as they arise.
