Requirements

  • Background in construction or manufacturing required.
  • Knowledge of carpentry, fabrication and cabinetry required.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to accurately read a tape measure are required.
  • Ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously.
  • Be able to work standing for extended periods of time, lift up to 50 pounds and have full range of motion.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced with shop drawings.
  • Forklift Certification is required.
  • Must be able to work in areas exposed to paint, stain, glue fumes. Masks and/or respirators will be provided if desired.
  • Ability to Commute: Ladson, SC 29456 (Required)
  • Ability to Relocate: Ladson, SC 29456: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Certificate in Corian Fabrication preferred.
  • Solid Surface Fabrication: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Keeps fabrication area clean and organized.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines as required including routers and orbital sanders.
  • Attend required safety meetings and actively participate in additional safety training/requirements, as needed. Follows all safety protocol and looks for new solutions to issues, improvement opportunities, or prevention measures.
  • Quality checks solid surface materials parts prior fabrication to include condition, quantity, and measurements.
  • Quality checks equipment and tools to avoid damaging materials.
  • Quality checks fabricated materials prior to leaving the Department, utilizing the quality control checklist provided by LCCM.
  • Ensure all parts are finished to LCCM standards prior to sending out.
  • Able to read and follow shop drawings to fabricate solid surface materials accurately and efficiently.
  • Understands and follows the solid surface fabrication techniques for edge build ups, flat seams, and substrates. Applies correct sanding and polishing methods to obtain desire finish.
  • Ensure solid surface projects are completed to specifications before leaving department.
  • Able to support the Install Department with installing solid surface in the field.
