About The Position

Leidos’ Defense Systems Electronics Manufacturing is seeking a PCBA Soldering Technician-2nd shift to join our team that produce a variety of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA’s). This position involves hand soldering of surface mount and through-hole components on low, medium and high density printed circuit boards (PCBs), soldering/working under a microscope, and rework of various electronic packages including resistors, capacitors, and through-hole parts. The role requires working independently under limited supervision, as well as working in a team environment and interacting with different functions, project teams, and production teams. The candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate. This is a 2nd shift position.

Requirements

High School diploma/GED and less than 1 year of prior relevant work experience
Experience soldering under a microscope
Ability to solder surface mount and through-hole components
Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions
Must be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance
Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the area

Nice To Haves

Current or prior certification in IPC-A-610
Current or prior certification in J-STD-001
