About The Position

Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for hand soldering, along with set-up and operation of automated soldering machines used in soldering of printed circuit boards. Assignments are semi-routine in nature. Follows verbal and written instructions including blueprints, subassembly layouts. May use hand tools, set up, adjust and operate automatic or semi-automatic machines. Conducts regular preventative machine maintenance.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated mechanical/repair skills (intermediate).
  • Ability to communicate in English language clearly both written and verbal; good interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds, work 9-hour shifts, and properly use provided PPE.
  • Ability to pass eye exam with a minimum 20/20 vision that may be corrected via eyeglasses or contact lenses as required. Eye exam is required annually.
  • Comply with all Company Safety and ESD Program requirements.
  • Solder Experience: 1 Year
  • Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.

  • Technical degree or equivalent experience in an electronics testing environment desired.

Responsibilities

  • Hand Solder electronic components in through-hole and surface mount technology to Military Standards.
  • Set up and operate automated soldering equipment.
  • Preparing boards for soldering operations such as cleaning and masking.
  • Cleaning printed circuit boards and equipment.
  • Visually check work in process for solder defects and adjust as required.
  • Comprehension of work instructions and customer blueprints.
  • Accomplish all job-related paperwork in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Communicates effectively and responsibility to supervisors and leadership team.
  • Maintain a clean work area in accordance with 6S standards.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings and training exercises.
  • All other assigned duties as required as well as the willingness to be trained on new processes.
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
