About The Position

This is a temporary position for a Solder Tech responsible for performing soldering of surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole components on printed circuit boards (PCBs). The role involves reading and interpreting technical documents, conducting visual inspections, assembling mechanical components, and operating manufacturing equipment. The Solder Tech must adhere to quality standards, maintain a safe work area, and report any production or quality issues.

Requirements

• Experience soldering both Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and through-hole electronic components.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, assembly instructions, and IPC-A-610 standards.
• Experience using soldering irons, hand tools, and electronic assembly equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes and quality standards.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precision assembly work.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting production deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• IPC-A-610 certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform soldering of surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) using soldering irons, hand tools, and other assembly equipment.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, work instructions, and IPC-A-610 standards to ensure proper assembly and soldering quality.
• Conduct visual inspections of solder joints and completed assemblies to verify compliance with IPC-A-610 quality standards.
• Assemble mechanical components and wire electrical systems according to schematics and engineering specifications.
• Safely and efficiently operate hand tools and manufacturing equipment during assembly processes.
• Follow detailed assembly instructions and production procedures to meet customer specifications and quality requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies.
• Report quality concerns, material shortages, or production issues to supervisors as needed.
