About The Position

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and mechanical aptitude.
  • Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols and company procedures.
  • Ability to accurately document work activities and follow instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions.
  • Applicants must have current authorization to work for any employer in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for an employment visa now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic maintenance tasks on solar panels, inverters, racking, and tracking systems under supervision.
  • Ensure all work is conducted safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Accurately record all maintenance activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including work order creation, updates, and closure.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), lockout/tagout procedures, and safe work practices to minimize risks.
  • Assist in preparing reports on maintenance activities, including documenting issues encountered, solutions implemented, and recommendations for future work.
  • Engage in on-the-job training to develop technical skills and knowledge in solar plant operations.
  • Participate in company-provided training programs to advance to higher levels within the solar technician career path.
  • Assist in handling and organizing tools, equipment, and materials required for maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and stored.
  • Work closely with higher-level technicians and the Site Lead to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Follow instructions and seek guidance when needed to ensure safe and accurate execution of work.
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying items up to 50 lbs.
  • Work in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
