About The Position

The Solar Supervisor Foreman oversees construction work, promotes safe work practices, coordinates craft activities, and ensures work meets project drawings, specifications, codes, quality standards, schedules, and cost goals. The role includes instructing journeymen, monitoring work methods and conditions, identifying problems, taking corrective action, and submitting accurate project reports. Requirements

• Typically, 6 years of industrial construction experience.
• Typically, 2 years in supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Identify safe and at-risk practices and conditions, and take appropriate on-the-spot corrective action when needed.
• Check the adequacy of existing job and task methods and procedures.
• Instruct journeymen in craft tasks, including safety procedures and techniques.
• Understand other craft disciplines to coordinate work and prevent jurisdictional conflicts.
• Read and interpret blueprints and job specifications; implement Bechtel job procedures and work rules; inspect finished work for quality and completeness.
• Understand the work scope and integrate project priorities.
• Understand work priorities and schedules, and complete planned work on schedule.
• Identify potential problems in a timely manner.
• Take prompt remedial action when work does not meet drawings, specifications, code requirements, or accepted construction quality standards.
• Follow project cost-control procedures and work toward established cost goals and unit-rate standards.
• Ensure accurate reporting of time sheets, backcharges, quantities, and work status.
