About The Position

Davey Resource Group UVM is hiring a full-time, year-round team member to manage vegetation operations at an on-site utility-scale solar generation station in Oak Ridge, Louisiana. The role is responsible for vegetation management, safety, compliance, and site performance. The manager leads a small team and maintains daily communication with the client while working closely with DRG leadership. The position involves manual vegetation work, operating and maintaining equipment, herbicide application, and driving a truck with a trailer. The stated pay rate is $24–$30 per hour, with 40 hours per week. Travel expectations are up to 25%.

Requirements

Have a current driver's license and a clean driving record.
Be able to work continuously for 8 or more hours per day.
Be able to work in inclement weather and varied ground conditions.
Have experience with Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Calendar, or similar listed applications.
Have good communication skills in person, over the phone, and by email.
Be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
Complete a pre-employment drug screen, including marijuana, and a background check.

Nice To Haves

Mowing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage a small team.
Perform manual labor using string trimmers.
Operate mini skidsteers, compact tractors, and brush hog-style mowers.
Perform basic daily equipment maintenance; training is provided.
Apply herbicides.
Operate a 3/4-ton truck while pulling a trailer.
Manage vegetation at the solar generation station to support safety, compliance, and performance.
Maintain direct, daily communication with the client and work closely with DRG leadership.
