About The Position

ION Solar is a rapidly expanding, full-service residential solar company with a nationwide presence. The Solar Site Surveyor conducts residential site surveys using company-provided tools and equipment, documents sites with a camera and company app, and communicates professionally with customers about the survey process and timeline. The role also requires regular communication with the scheduling team. The position is full-time, based at the Richmond Warehouse in Ashland, Virginia, with a day shift and an hourly pay range of $19.00–$22.00.

Requirements

Ability to work on a residential roof and at heights.
Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to use hand and power tools.
Proficient math skills to calculate the number of materials needed.
Ability to use ION technology, including Paycom, FieldPro, Salesforce, and smartphones.
Valid driver's license; must be at least 21 years old and have a clean driving record as determined by a Motor Vehicle Record check.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of roofing and construction, including materials, roof types, and terminology.
Basic knowledge of residential electrical systems and associated vocabulary.
Ability to climb, stand, walk, kneel, and crouch for extended periods.
Ability to lift 50 pounds at a time.
Must use earplugs around loud equipment and wear gloves, safety glasses, and other protective gear.
