About The Position

SpartanX is seeking a detail-oriented Solar Site Surveyor to support residential solar operations across active markets. This role is responsible for collecting accurate field data used for engineering, permitting, installation planning, and operational execution. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, comfortable working independently, and capable of identifying site conditions that may impact installation quality, scheduling, or project completion. This is a field-based role requiring strong attention to detail, professional homeowner communication, and the ability to accurately document residential solar project conditions.

Requirements

  • Previous solar site survey, construction, roofing, electrical, or field operations experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily schedules efficiently
  • Professional communication and customer interaction skills
  • Comfortable working on rooftops, ladders, attics, and outdoor environments
  • Basic understanding of residential construction and electrical systems preferred
  • Comfortable using tablets, mobile applications, and operational software systems
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment safely throughout the workday

Nice To Haves

  • Previous residential solar experience
  • Experience with Aurora, Solo, or similar solar survey platforms
  • OSHA 10 certification
  • Basic electrical knowledge or field troubleshooting experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform residential solar site surveys according to SpartanX operational standards
  • Collect accurate roof, structural, electrical, attic, and property data
  • Document main service panels, subpanels, meters, and existing electrical equipment
  • Capture complete site photos, measurements, and detailed notes for engineering and operations teams
  • Identify potential installation concerns, access limitations, shading issues, or code-related deficiencies
  • Utilize company software and mobile applications to submit survey information accurately and on time
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners during scheduled appointments
  • Coordinate with operations, permitting, engineering, and installation teams as needed
  • Maintain organized documentation and ensure survey completeness before submission
  • Follow all company safety standards and field procedures
