About The Position

Solar Sales Consultant / Energy Advisor Location: All Markets - Texas ATX Solar is a Central Texas based solar and energy storage company focused on custom system design, clear communication, strong customer experience, and long-term support. We are hiring self-generated solar sales professionals who know how to create opportunity, build trust, and close deals. This is not a sit-and-wait-for-company-leads role. We want hunters. At the same time, we believe top producers should be rewarded. Top performers may earn access to company-provided leads / appointments based on production, professionalism, and close rate.

Requirements

  • Proven self-generation ability in solar, roofing, alarms, windows, HVAC, pest, real estate, or other commission-driven in-home sales.
  • Strong communication skills professionalism, and confidence in face-to-face selling.
  • High ownership mentality. You do not need someone to motivate you every day.
  • Ability to build trust quickly and handle objections without sounding pushy.
  • Coachable, competitive, and process-oriented.
  • Experience and knowledge of current solar financing options, including TPO finance products such as PPAs, prepaid PPAs, VPAs, and traditional ownership options.
  • Ability to handle full-cycle sales, from lead-generation to closing.
  • Ability to work weekends and take leads / appointments outside of traditional business hours

Nice To Haves

  • Solar experience is preferred, but closers from adjacent industries are welcome.

Responsibilities

  • Self-generate residential solar opportunities through door-to-door, referrals, networking, social media, events, community prospecting, self-paid leads, and your own outreach.
  • Educate homeowners on solar, battery storage, backup power, EV charging solutions, and financing options.
  • Run consultations, review utility bills, identify homeowner goals, and move prospects toward the next step.
  • Work deals from first contact through signed agreement.
  • Collaborate with the ATX Solar team on proposals, system design, and project handoff.
  • Keep follow-up tight and professional. We value reps who stay consistent and do not rely on canned pitches.
