About The Position

Mortenson is currently seeking a Laborer II that will be responsible for the preparation, handling, and supplying of materials to be used by other crafts. This role involves various tasks related to solar panel installation, including rigging, racking assembly, torque tube assembly, pile layout, and general cleanup. The position requires a strong teamwork orientation, positive attitude, and professional customer service skills. Detail orientation, active listening, and effective communication are also essential. The duties and responsibilities of this position may change without notice.

Requirements

• Experience in construction preferred
• Ability to work with tools and equipment such as power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and jackhammers; forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies
• Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail orientation; active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback
• Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over 50 lbs will be done with assistance of another team member or equipment.
• Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status, 0-1, TN, CPT, OPT, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment and materials
• Responsible for the preparation, handling and supplying of materials to be used by other crafts
• Solar panel install
• Rigging
• Racking assembly
• Torque tube assembly
• Pile layout
• General cleanup and clearing of debris
• All other duties as assigned
