About The Position

Freedom Power is a leading provider of home electrification solutions, offering solar, battery storage, HVAC, generators, and Power Plans. They are seeking motivated Solar Installers to join their team, responsible for installing residential solar systems ranging from 1kW to 30kW. This role is ideal for individuals with construction or roofing experience who take pride in their work, enjoy teamwork, and are motivated by achieving goals.

Requirements

A valid Driver’s License and clean MVR to operate company vehicles.
Residential solar installation experience.
Knowledge of local electrical codes.
Knowledge of residential PV design and components.
Knowledge of basic trades: roofing, carpentry, plumbing, and metal framing.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, wiring schematics, and electrical instructions.
Ability to make field changes and communicate problems to the Project Manager.
Ability to test voltages from 10V – 1000VDC / 120V – 480VAC.
Ability to receive and distribute instructions.
Ability to drive a truck and trailer safely.
Ability to withstand heights, be on roofs, and climb ladders.
Ability to lift 50-75+ lbs routinely.
Ability to bend, stretch, squat, and lift.
Ability to work in 30-100+ degree weather, as well as in wet and dry conditions.

Nice To Haves

Apprentice Electrical License
Valid OSHA 10; (OSHA 30 preferred)
Electrical experience

Responsibilities

Attending safety meetings daily before work commences on-site.
Installing racking systems according to manufacturer specifications and company plans for various residential roof types.
Installing DC and AC equipment in compliance with plans and local codes.
Safely commissioning photovoltaic (PV) systems.
Testing system components while the system is operational.
Assisting with other duties as assigned by the Crew Lead and/or Regional Operations Manager.
