ION SolarOrem, UT
$25 - $0Hybrid

About The Position

ION Solar is a rapidly expanding, full-service residential solar company with a strong nationwide presence. Our dedicated team is committed to making solar energy accessible and affordable for homeowners across the country. We are currently seeking a Solar Field Design Specialist to support our internal Engineering and Design teams by providing practical, field-based expertise throughout the residential solar design process. This role is responsible for reviewing project photos and site information from a field installer's perspective, identifying potential installation concerns, and working directly with our internal Engineering team to ensure plansets accurately reflect site conditions and can be successfully installed in the field. The ideal candidate has hands-on residential solar installation experience and understands how design decisions translate into actual installation conditions. This is not a field installation position. Rather, this role uses field experience to help our Engineering and Design teams make accurate, practical, and installation-ready decisions.

  • Ability to identify potential installation issues before they reach the field
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to Engineering and other internal teams
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Comfortable using computers and reviewing digital plans, photos, and project documentation
  • Must be at least 21 years old
