About The Position

Citadel Roofing and Solar is seeking a Solar Crew Lead to manage a team performing solar pre-wire and installation. This role involves ensuring correct materials are used, adhering to safety and installation standards, and maintaining company vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of solar installation practices, electrical wiring, and crew management.

Requirements

  • Ability to inspect fall gear and other PPE daily/weekly.
  • Follow and enforce Citadel installation and safety practices.
  • Organization skills to maintain a clean and organized company vehicle.
  • Provide warehouse timely notification of needed material to maintain truck stock mid/max levels.
  • Communicate with others inside and outside the Citadel organization.
  • Navigate iPad/iPhone and use required apps to provide deliverables.
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial/multi-family rooftop/carport solar installation.
  • Knowledge of reading solar layouts and SLDs.
  • Experience with 3-phase electrical wiring and virtual net metering.
  • Manage production crew.
  • Electrical solar experience (Enphase/SolarEdge).
  • Knowledge of solar structural requirements.
  • Knowledge of roofing/carport practices/requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform solar pre-wire and installation.
  • Ensure all material received from the warehouse is correct for the installation.
  • Ensure the crew follows Citadel Safety and Installation Standards and job site roles.
  • Provide quality installations that can be commissioned and inspected without issues.
  • Provide 100% of required photos for each installation daily.
  • Maintain truck stock at mid/max levels.
  • Communicate with the Citadel Superintendent a minimum of every morning and afternoon.
  • Confirm material pickup from the warehouse and activity plan for the day in the morning.
  • Confirm completed activities and update on any field-related issues in the afternoon.
  • Communicate with the Citadel Superintendent before installation if installations will not match the solar layout exactly for approval.
  • Supply as-built drawings on the day of installation if different from the solar layout.
  • Provide weekly timecards and safety documents for the entire crew to the Citadel Superintendent on time and accurately.
  • Maintain company vehicle maintenance, including washing the interior and exterior of the vehicle weekly.
