About The Position

This role is responsible for providing quality service and products to customers in a timely and professional manner. The Soil Team Lead assists the supervisor in daily production tasks, communicates instructions to coworkers, ensures workstations have work availability, trains new hires, and enforces quality, production, and safety standards by following standard operating procedures.

Requirements

  • Be able to stand on feet up to 12 hours a day.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to work on production floor.
  • Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, and pulling.
  • Be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Be able to push/pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs. (on wheels).

Responsibilities

  • Assist supervisor in all daily production tasks.
  • Effectively communicate instructions from supervisor/management to coworkers.
  • Ensure workstations have availability of work to process.
  • Train new hires and employees as needed.
  • Follow standard operating procedures.
  • Enforce quality, production, and safety standards.
  • Be on time and have excellent attendance.
  • Meet established production standards.
  • Follow all company safety rules.
  • Work well with a diverse workforce.
  • Follow directions given by supervisor.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a positive attitude.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
  • Work past the schedule as production issues may arise.
  • Check for carts, tickets, and other duties to ensure all work is completed.
  • Support Continuous Improvement and coach problem resolution to all employees.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to resolve conflicts in regards to quality and production.
  • Perform quality audits/checks with teams throughout the shift.
  • Perform any other duties as supervisor/manager sees fit.
  • Be familiar with all products, machine operation and work in production as needed.
  • Be able to learn computer and operating systems.
