About The Position

KMM Technologies, Inc. in Rockville, MD is seeking a Software/Web Applications Developer to conduct research, plan, and build software for computers and networks, including custom tools and utility programs designed for specific functions. Individuals will apply advanced theoretical knowledge of Information Technology principles and concepts to perform the following duties.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Information Systems or any related computer or IT field of study plus at least one (1) year of experience in any related position(s) in which the required experience was gained.
  • Demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, or knowledge with the following: Java including two or more of the following: Core Java, J2EE or Java 8
  • Two or more of the following Spring Framework ecosystems: Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, or Spring JDBC)
  • RESTful API development and consumption
  • REST
  • Hibernate ORM framework
  • JDBC templates and database integration
  • Use of two or more of the following: CI/CD pipeline configuration, automated build, deployment processes, or continuous integration for error-free application delivery
  • Docker containerization
  • Continuous integration and deployment practices
  • HTML5, CSS, JavaScript
  • Bootstrap components
  • JSP development
  • JUnit for unit testing
  • Test-driven development practices
  • API testing with Postman and Swagger
  • Apache Tomcat
  • Maven for project builds and dependency management

Responsibilities

  • As part of a group, review and analyze process, system and/or data requirements and specifications.
  • Review and contribute to component designs for a project, product and/or program.
  • Build, test, deploy, and document software components of a project, product, and/or program level solution utilizing Java/J2ee/JavaScript/AWS Cloud technologies.
  • Interface with other team members and other teams in peer review of requirements, specifications and software.
  • Document and communicate development status in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the collaborative resolution of defects.
  • Participate in internal process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide feedback on processes by offering suggestions.
  • Assist with adherence to technology policies and comply with all security controls.
