About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Software Validations Analyst to support DHA Lifecycle Management. This role involves assisting the government in ensuring that requested software is approved from the DHA Enterprise Approved Product List, generating reports, monitoring ITSM ticket queue performance, and providing critical updates to Government leadership. The analyst will process software-related tickets, review/validate RVDC, and follow up with customers. They will also update action statuses in various databases and coordinate with program and project managers to ensure software is a valid requirement and has not reached its end of life/support dates. Additionally, the role includes reviewing Electronic Bill of Materials (EBOM) against vendor quotes, identifying End of Life (EOL)/End of Support (EOS) information for hardware components, updating the Asset Management Database, and conducting market research for cost estimates. Other administrative tasks related to Lifecycle Management are also part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience with BA/BS OR 0 years of experience with MA/MS OR 6 years of experience in lieu of degree with High School Diploma.
  • Ability to obtain: Department of Defense security clearance (ADP II Public Trust)
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Familiar with the MS Office suite
  • Strong communication skills, professional writing skills, and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (i.e., ability to prepare Microsoft (MS) Excel Pivot Tables, ability to identify duplicates in an Excel spreadsheet, ability to use MS Excel Power Query for extract, transform, and load functions, ability to use MS Word, etc.).
  • Ability to multitask and perform administrative tasks in support of Lifecycle Management.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving, organization, data analysis, time management, and ability to work independently and in a Team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ticketing systems (preferred)
  • Strong administrative, tracking and documentation skills.
  • Familiar with the following software applications including but not limited to: the MS Office suite, MS access, Service Now or other ticketing systems (i.e. BMC Remedy or similar).

Responsibilities

  • Assist the government in ensuring that requirements requested are approved from the DHA Enterprise Approved Product List.
  • Generate reports, monitor ITSM ticket queue performance, monitor calendar events, and provide critical updates to Government leadership when appropriate.
  • Process software related tickets, review/validate RVDC, follow up with customers as necessary.
  • Update action statuses via the Procurement Action Tracker, ServiceNow and other databases/tools as necessary.
  • Coordinate with program and project managers from various Directorates within the Defense Health Agency to ensure that software being requested have not reached their end of life/ end of support dates.
  • Coordinates with program and project managers to ensure software is still a valid requirement ensuring that the agency does not pay for maintenance on items no longer needed.
  • Review Electronic Bill of Materials (EBOM) and compare them to quotes received by vendors. Provides recommendations to the government on if the EBOM and the quote are technically acceptable.
  • Assist in identifying End of Life (EOL)/ End of Support (EOS) information for hardware components to include but not limited to the Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), Wireless LAN (WLAN), Top Level Architecture (TLA), End User Devices (EUD) and various components.
  • Update the Asset Management Database with EOL/EOS information.
  • Conduct market research to determine cost estimates for replacement devices based on the request of the customer.
  • Other administrative tasks assigned for Lifecycle Management.
