About The Position

We are seeking a Software Tester for a 12-month contract position in Plano, TX. The role involves collaborating with developers and QA engineers to ensure the quality of mobile applications and system features. The tester will be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining various types of test cases, analyzing results, and documenting defects. Testing will cover firmware, connectivity, hardware interactions, and all phases of the mobile software life cycle.

Requirements

• 0–3 years of experience in mobile software or QA testing
• Ability to handle multiple testing tasks and prioritize effectively
• Strong understanding of mobile Android OS platforms and device ecosystems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration abilities
• Excellent time-management and documentation skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience with mobile test tools (e.g., ADB, Jira, TestRail, or similar)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams
• Detect, track, and document software defects, performance issues, and inconsistencies
• Design, execute, and maintain functional, regression, and performance test cases for mobile apps and system features
• Analyse test results and provide detailed reports and feedback to the development team
• Validate firmware, connectivity (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE/5G), and hardware interactions
• Conduct manual and automated testing as per defined procedures and quality criteria
• Perform testing throughout all phases of the mobile software life cycle — design, develop, test, release, and maintenance
