The Software Tester will be responsible for designing and performing system analysis, recommending application solutions, testing and correcting programs, and assisting IT staff with documentation. This role involves supporting user acceptance testing, performing software implementation tasks, and assisting with the development, implementation, and monitoring of IT quality assurance standards and testing. The tester will also help develop and document standards for programming and systems development lifecycle activities, develop software testing and automation procedures, and perform analysis and design. Additional duties include reading, writing, extracting, and reporting from compounded files, working with business personnel to identify and document system software requirements, defining problems, and developing potential solutions. The position also requires performing post-production support for business applications, assisting IT staff with troubleshooting, performance testing, and security scans, and collaborating with peers and other technical staff. This role involves guiding software development tasks, answering technical questions, and leading discussions on technical topics. The tester will summarize and convey recommendations in writing and gather, interpret, and apply information from various sources. Mentorship opportunities for peers and lower-level staff are also part of the role. Experience with Azure DevOps for documentation, collaboration, and task management, along with a basic understanding of Agile, Iterative, and Traditional Software development (SDLC) practices as they relate to testing, is essential.
