Software Tester – Agile Development Team

About The Position

Peraton is seeking a skilled software tester to join an Agile development team on the Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC) program, which is part of the Navy’s Tomahawk Missile program. The team is responsible for implementing new system behaviors and correcting defects in existing system behavior for various TMPC applications. These applications support tactical and training operations, including mission planning, data distribution, strike planning, rehearsal, coordination, execution, monitoring, control, reporting, and communications configuration and data management/delivery. The primary focus of this role is to understand new system behavior, write and execute manual tests to ensure requirements and user story acceptance criteria are met, and potentially develop automated tests. This role may offer a hybrid work arrangement but is primarily on-site in Santa Clara, CA. In addition to testing, the role involves performing non-test activities to support the team's overall objectives.

Requirements

  • 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with no degree

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools, including Azure DevOps (TFS)
  • US Citizenship and an active DoD SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain a DoD SECRET Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with test automation for API and UI testing, with a working knowledge of Python and Selenium
  • Software background with an understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies, including Agile

Responsibilities
