About The Position

PeopleTec is seeking a full-time, on-site Software Test/Integration Engineer to support its Huntsville, Alabama location. The selected candidate will join a Huntsville-based team working on missile defense modeling and simulation technologies and system-of-systems frameworks, combining engineering and software skills. The role requires an active DoD Secret clearance upon hire and the ability to maintain it.

Requirements

Experience with GitLab/Git for software configuration management.
Experience with the Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system.
Experience programming network connections, such as message generation, formatting, and UDP and TCP/IP interfaces.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must have an active DoD Secret clearance upon hire and be able to maintain it during employment.
Mid-level education and experience: bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 5 years of professional experience, master's degree with 3 years of professional experience, or Ph.D. with no experience.
Senior-level education and experience: bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 9 years of professional experience, or master's degree with 7 years of professional experience.

Nice To Haves

Test automation or analysis automation.
Agile scrum experience.
Java and user interface experience.
Experience with Jira or a similar issue-tracking and agile project-management tool.
Multi-core and multi-threaded programming experience.
Familiarity with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) missile defense system, sensors, and modeling and simulation.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute software test procedures to verify requirements and features.
Create and configure complex test scenarios.
Develop software test documentation.
Collaborate with stakeholders and Government customers on requirements verification.
Work in an agile team environment, including program increment planning, iteration planning, feature and story development, sprint planning, and iteration retrospectives.
Participate in demos for program sprint reviews.
