About The Position

ASRC Federal Space and Defense is seeking a Software Test Engineer to support the C-SAR Contract in Colorado Springs, CO. As part of a small team, you will support the USSF C-SAR contract. Your responsibilities will include testing COTS applications, custom software, and satellite specific data products within the Command and Control System -- Consolidated (CCS-C) integrated environment, which supports MILSATCOM operations. The applications are hosted on Windows, Solaris, and Linux platforms. You will prepare and execute formal acceptance tests, evaluate software maintenance changes, and collaborate with development personnel on unit and integration testing. Daily test status reporting will be required during test periods, and you will maintain regression tests. Supporting the on-site sustainment team with user acceptance testing and problem diagnosis is a secondary responsibility. A strong understanding of and adherence to software configuration management (CM) practices is crucial for maintaining consistency across multiple systems.

Requirements

  • Current Security+ Certification (DoD 8570 IAT Level II) or obtain one within 90 days from start date.
  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance, or ability to obtain one.
  • 3+ years of experience in a MILSATCOM developmental or operational environment or Satellite Command and Control systems experience.
  • BS degree in a technical discipline and 2 to 4 years of experience or equivalent experience in a technical environment.
  • Ability to articulate technical concepts orally and in written forms both internally to the team as well as externally to the customer.

Nice To Haves

  • 4+ years of experience in system/software application testing.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development cycle.
