About The Position

OASYS, INC., a Leading-Edge Government contractor, is seeking applicants for Software Test Engineer to support our customer in Huntsville, AL. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of languages such as Perl, Python, and C++. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require Secret government security clearance prior to starting and the ability. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.

Requirements

Proficient in Python, and C++.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multi‑disciplinary, team‑based groups.
Active Secret Clearance
Bachelor's degree in a STEM‑related discipline from an accredited university.

Nice To Haves

Proficient in Perl
Experience across the full software life‑cycle (design, architecture, development, integration, test, qualification).
Familiarity with embedded software/hardware (hands‑on or academic).
Working knowledge of DevOps/DevSecOps tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, security scanning).
Comfortable in Agile development environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to test and verify software against defined requirements.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Aerospace Engineering or other related degree program from an accredited college/university
