About The Position

We are seeking a Software Test Engineer to plan, develop, execute, and automate testing activities for software applications, middleware, and infrastructure deployed in High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments. The role validates system requirements and helps ensure the reliability, scalability, performance, security, and operational readiness of HPC systems. It offers technical ownership and the opportunity to solve complex operational challenges on systems that support critical missions.

Requirements

• Experience using Linux CLI and Linux tools.
• Proficiency in Bash or Python scripting for task automation.
• Strong understanding of Linux system administration fundamentals.
• At least 3 years of software testing, quality assurance, or validation experience in Linux environments.
• Experience developing and executing test plans for HPC systems.
• Experience integrating and testing REST APIs related to HPC systems.
• Demonstrated experience in defect tracking and resolution processes.
• Experience with software testing methodologies and test lifecycle management.
• Experience developing automated test solutions and validation frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools, including GitLab CI.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Podman.
• Experience with the Git source control system.
• Must have a Top Secret clearance and have favorably completed a polygraph.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite, including JIRA and Confluence.
• Familiarity with Splunk for searching, monitoring, and analyzing machine-generated data.
• Familiarity with SAFe Agile principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code principles and automation tools, including Ansible.
