About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Software Test Engineer for a 12+ month contract with a global financial institution in Charlotte, North Carolina. The hybrid role requires working onsite three days per week. The engineer will test and deliver complex software requirements in support of business outcomes, ensuring software meets functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. This includes building and executing manual and automated test suites, recording and communicating results, and helping triage defects.

Requirements

5–7 years of testing experience.
At least 5 years of test automation experience.
Proficiency with testing processes, ALM, JIRA, SQL, and API testing.
Experience with Selenium/Cucumber and Java.
Experience working in an Agile environment.

Nice To Haves

Prior banking domain experience.
Core Java development skills.
Experience with Octane.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements.
Lead team-level test planning and ensure stories are well refined and have clear acceptance criteria.
Implement the team's test framework and lead test case reviews.
Identify opportunities for automation and develop test automation for applicable test types.
Condition and generate test data while ensuring compliance requirements are met across test environments.
Execute manual and automated test cases, record results, and report issues and defects.
Participate in triaging reported issues and defects, assisting with resolution or escalation as necessary.
Create and manage traceability through the development lifecycle back to requirements.
Use testing tools and follow processes to complete testing in a given test environment.
Maintain and catalog test suites across test types, including Smoke, Integration, and Regression.
