About The Position

Leidos is seeking a talented Software Test Engineer to work in their Huntsville office. This position focuses on automated testing, development of robust, innovative software test infrastructures and frameworks, integration testing, informal manual testing, formal software qualification testing, fielding and support, and maintenance of software products. Software products range from analysis tools/simulations, mission planning software, and components of mission-critical systems. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent technical degree with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
At least 4+ years of relevant technical experience with BS degree or 2+ with MS degree.
Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one.
Proven experience performing software test on complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
Proven track record implementing an automated software testing solution.
Demonstrated ability in software development in either C#/.NET, C, C++, Java, Python, or Ruby programming languages.
Great communication skills with ability to present to senior leadership and government customers.

Nice To Haves

Automated testing experience on embedded systems.
Experience writing user interface (UI) tests with automated UI testing technologies.
Experience with applicable industry standards (IEEE 12207, CMMI, MIL-STD-882e, DO-178C and/or DO-278, RMF).
Ability to work across multiple products under development by multiple small teams.
Knowledge of Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) principles and application.
Experience with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices technology.
Knowledge of guidance & control algorithms, navigation systems, mission planning systems (NOMS, JMPS), and sensors.
Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML.
Proficiency with testing MATLAB/Simulink generated code.
Understanding of hardware-software integration and software systems engineering principles.
Agile Scrum Master experience.

Responsibilities

Direct participation as an integral team member who performs key roles with respect to test planning, test strategy and design, test execution, software engineering processes, and recommendations on product quality.
Reviewing, editing, and generating various documents used for engineering and testing purposes per industry standards.
Learning from more senior test engineers while also mentoring less experienced test engineers.
Communication with software developers and other team members on a frequent basis.
