About The Position
S3I Engineering provides specialty engineering services, systems integration, and operational support to US Government agencies. Our technical expertise covers multiple facets of the Software, Systems, Cyber, and Hardware Engineering disciplines. Our engineers have expert knowledge of the critical mission management systems and their deployment on various DOD, DHS, and other platforms. S3I is currently looking for entry to mid-level Software Test Engineers. You will be working with cutting-edge technology to test complex mission management systems and their sensors. Requirements
- Strong computer hardware and software troubleshooting experience using linux shell commands
- A desire to troubleshoot difficult problems
- Familiarity with both DoD and DCSA cybersecurity practices
- Familiarity with DoD sensor systems including EO/IR, Radar, SIGINT, and others
- Familiarity with working in DoD cloud platforms
- Strong organizational and communications skills
- Active DoD Secret Clearance (or higher)
- Functional Linux Experience
- Knowledge of software development tools and techniques
- Familiarity with software configuration management and version control systems
- Software troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of DoD mission systems, sensors, and networks
- Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering or technical field
- Ability to assess and troubleshoot complex problems involving multiple systems
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance is required

- Previous Minotaur experience strongly desired
Responsibilities
- Installing, Configuring, and Testing Systems and Software
- Configuring test bench systems to test software requirements
- Interacting with government representatives and other contractor staff
- Developing and documenting software test procedures
- Field testing in various locations, environments, vessels, and facilities
- Troubleshooting systems and software to perform root cause analysis
