About The Position

SAIC is looking for a Software Engineer to support the Sea Hawk Eye Emitter Library Development program at Point Mugu, California. This role involves designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging application software. The engineer will conduct analysis and collaborate with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting. The end product may be special use, customized, or commercial software. The engineer will determine computer user needs; analyze system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepare operating instructions; and design and develop autonomous services, desktop applications, web applications, scripts, and utility programs. Ensuring software standards are met is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of experience
  • Basic understanding of the software-development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum practices
  • Attention to detail, good oral and written communication
  • Knowledge of SQL, database
  • Knowledge of scripting/languages/tools: Python, JavaScript, C#, Git
  • Knowledge of container/Docker/virtual machine, cloud technologies
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity/CompTIA certificates
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. Interim clearance required to start. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process
