About The Position

Within Quality & Mission Assurance, the Software Quality Engineering department performs classified activities in secure labs and unclassified activities in dedicated workspaces. This role supports Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) programs, which include a wide range of defense systems. The Software Systems Quality Engineer (Compliance) will ensure digital products adhere to contractual requirements, review and approve inputs/outputs to/from partner organizations, and ensure the integrity of the technical data package. The role involves identifying, collecting, and measuring software quality attributes, metrics, and data, as well as performing independent evaluations and risk assessments across the lifecycle. Facilitating root cause analysis and corrective actions, and leveraging modern experiences with software development and quality best practices, including Agile and DevSecOps methodologies, are key aspects of this position. The role also requires interaction with customers, product development, and test personnel, and providing guidance to senior leadership, team members, and group peers.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Security Clearance
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Experience in a Quality or Technical role and applying principles across Agile: SCRUM teams, sprints / increments, stories / points, backlog / burndown, continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD)
  • Experience in Testing: execution witnessing, location, plans, procedures, requirements traceability, reports
  • Experience in Requirements: verification, software specifications, systems specifications, functionality, performance, statement of work, contracts
  • Experience in Software: lifecycle processes, requirements decomposition, code reviews, functions, features, builds, configuration management
  • Experience in Defects: quantification, severity, priority, age, resolution, effort, impact, implementation
  • Experience in Release: delivery management, checklists, labels, versions, licenses, repositories, software executables, release notes, security bulletins, training manuals, user guides
  • Experience in Metrics: defining, developing, monitoring, measuring, reporting, dashboards, tools (e.g., Business Insight reports, Jira reports, Excel tables)
  • Experience in Analysis: identifying process issue Root Causes and implementing Corrective Actions
