About The Position

As a Software Engineer on Team Nyla, you will bring your technical creativity and collaborative energy to design, build, maintain, and enhance complex software components based on documented requirements. Working independently or alongside a team of brilliant, ever-curious engineers, you will tackle everything from hardware/software trade-offs and COTS/GOTS integration to end-to-end component testing, requirements synthesis, and problem resolution. Requirements

  • ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TS/SCI POLYGRAPH LEVEL IS REQUIRED
  • Proven experience building, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems using development methodologies appropriate to the host environment.
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing code, resolving software problem reports, and testing software components against design requirements with documented results.
  • Ability to analyze system-level requirements and synthesize them into individual software components, including evaluating hardware/software trade-offs and software reuse.
  • Hands-on experience evaluating and integrating Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) products in place of custom software development.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, PLUS 7+ years of professional software engineering experience OR Master’s Degree in a related field, PLUS 5+ years of specialized software engineering experience OR High School Diploma / GED , PLUS 11+ years of hands-on technical software development and big data administration experience in lieu of a degree.
