About The Position
SharkNinja is a global product design and technology company focused on creating lifestyle solutions. The company is building an AI-native culture and is looking for individuals who are willing to experiment and innovate. Unit 26 is a special team within SharkNinja that focuses on solving problems that don't have an obvious owner or existing solution. This team reports to the Chief of Staff to the CEO and works on high-impact projects that can range from applications and algorithms to AI agents and entirely new systems. The work done by Unit 26 can impact how the company operates or even end up in SharkNinja's products. The team is small, consisting of eight builders, and emphasizes a 'build first' mentality with a direct connection to the company's global innovation engine.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing, building, and shipping complex software and systems in production.
- Mastery of at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, TypeScript, C#).
- Proven ability to take ambiguous, high-stakes problems from conception to shipped product with full ownership.
- Strong systems thinking skills, including cloud architecture, APIs, data engineering, and enterprise system integration.
- Commercial instincts: ability to size opportunities, make business cases, and measure returns.
- Credibility to earn trust from executives and frontline teams, and translate business needs into solutions.
- Founder-level urgency: bias to action, comfort with ambiguity, and accountability for outcomes.

- Hands-on experience building with LLMs, AI agents, or machine learning.
Responsibilities
- Find and frame unowned, cross-functional problems where a great solution removes constraints for several teams.
- Partner with business leaders to define the problem, constraints, and success criteria.
- Architect and build production-grade software and systems, including applications, algorithms, data platforms, integrations, and AI agents.
- Prove value with quantifiable metrics such as hours saved, dollars unlocked, or speed gained.
- Make pragmatic decisions on architecture and build-versus-buy, prioritizing the shortest path to impact.
- Ship solutions with documentation, training, and support for business units to run and scale.
- Move on to the next challenge after successfully handing off a project.
