About The Position

Leidos is currently seeking a Software Specialist to join their team. This role involves the analysis of systems requirements, timelines, requirements allocation, defining interfaces, system testing, integration, and quality assurance. The specialist will be responsible for technical planning, system design, development, integration, verification, and validation. They will influence the development of innovative solutions that impact strategic customer goals and results, and recommend new technical solutions in support of strategy and operations. The position requires applying technical knowledge to resolve complex problems and developing innovative solutions through research and integration of best practices. The specialist must be able to communicate with leadership regarding matters of significant importance, including new concepts, practices, and approaches, and influence others regarding the pros and cons of alternatives and the best value approach to phased solutioning.

Requirements

  • Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences
  • Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Able to effectively utilize core scripting languages
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience
  • Additional experience in lieu of degree
  • Has in-depth understanding of Core programming tools (i.e. Python), ServiceNow principles, algorithmic theories, data analysis concepts and their application across range of deliverables

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a non-prem environment
  • Experience navigating proprietary customer developed systems
  • Able to create and present power point presentations to demonstrate concepts and solution pathways
  • Experience in the Service Now Modules of; Inventory, Procurement, Software Activation, Report Generation
  • Experience working with Data Analysis and presentation tools such as PowerBI and Tableau
