About The Position

ASML is seeking a talented Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team in San Jose, CA. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality of software in the product development process. The engineer will be responsible for writing test codes, collaborating with developers to enhance software testability, and building/maintaining automated test frameworks. The position involves developing and executing exploratory and automated tests to ensure a high-quality product, with a focus on high-skill testing methodologies within a concurrent computing software architecture environment. The engineer will work closely with software developers, hardware engineers, and the application engineering organization.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or any related engineering fields.
  • Proficiency in software development with coding skills in C++, Python, and any required programming language.
  • Deep understanding of software development principles, designs/architecture, and practices.
  • Knowledge and experience of test automation framework and tools.
  • Expertise in testing techniques and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex systems, identify potential issues, and propose effective solutions.
  • Good communication, collaboration, and team working skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs, while being cost-effective.
  • Monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve malfunctions to meet quality standards.
  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Perform modular tests at the code level before or after code merge.
  • Design, develop, and execute automation scripts.
  • Develop test tools to enable SQA to analyze results and execute tests efficiently.
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
  • Monitor debugging process results.
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
