About The Position

The Software QA Analyst, reporting to the Liferay Product Manager within the IT department's Product & Innovation team, will support the development and implementation of the organization's clinical platform, GuideTree. This role involves collaborating with various departments, building and maintaining automated test suites and manual test plans, and assisting with special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (required)
  • 1+ years of experience working in Information Technology (required)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written, verbal, and oral skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule

Nice To Haves

  • Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related field (strongly preferred)
  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience developing, supporting, or testing software in an agile team (preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience with Java and SQL (preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience in Liferay DXP, version 7.4 (preferred)
  • Understanding of or experience with release planning or DevOps (preferred)
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization and work with diverse project team
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle and prioritize simultaneous requests
  • Ability to identify test cases, edge cases, and develop procedures to ensure business requirements are met
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer support skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to system quality
  • Ability to regularly learn and adopt new technology

Responsibilities

  • Designs and develops automated tests using Cypress, Selenium, or similar testing tools
  • Develops and executes manual testing plans for software development
  • Participates in reviews of designs and technical specifications
  • Documents testing plans and results, communicating feedback and issues to development team
  • Assists product and development teams with triaging user-identified issues and bugs
  • Supports product and development team in identifying and documenting edge cases and system limitations
  • Runs database queries, supports release cycle, develops Java, JavaScript, or Python, and/or configures Liferay as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
