About The Position

Apple’s Input Experience QA group supports high-visibility iOS and macOS features and frameworks, including keyboards, Apple Intelligence features such as Writing Tools and Smart Replies, Notes drawing and handwriting, screenshots, and the machine-learning models and language intelligence behind these features. The Software QE Manager leads a team of QA Engineers focused on functional testing for iOS and macOS. The role drives testing, data gathering, project reporting, coordination with other teams, and quality sign-offs at key milestones. It also partners with automation teams to establish testing strategies and analyzes data from multiple sources to make recommendations to leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience leading a Test Engineering/QA or Software Engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of QA Engineers focused on functional testing for iOS and macOS.
• Drive testing, data gathering, and project reporting for the team.

• Review test plans and related documentation.
• Monitor progress and provide sign-offs at key milestones.
• Work with automation teams to create testing strategies for projects.
• Process data from multiple sources, draw meaningful conclusions, and present recommendations to leadership.
