Your Impact As a QA Engineer, you will lead the quality assurance efforts for Hypershield’s management plane to ensure the seamless orchestration, administration, and enforcement of critical customer security assets. You will validate complex feature sets—spanning from network event integration and AI engine performance to logging and storage—to guarantee a robust and reliable user experience. By designing and implementing strategic testing methodologies, you will proactively identify negative trends and software defects before they impact the production environment. You will collaborate cross-functionally with developers and program leads to define comprehensive DevTest strategies, fostering transparency and driving superior product quality across the entire development lifecycle. Ultimately, you will empower the organization to deliver high-impact security solutions by bridging the gap between technical software behavior and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelors + 5 years of related experience, or Masters + 3 years of related experience, or PhD + 0 years of related experience
  • Experience testing SaaS or distributed applications in cloud environments, including API and end-to-end testing.
  • Experience programming in Go, TypeScript or Python
  • Experience designing and executing manual test cases and developing automated tests using Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, or a similar framework.
  • Experience working with Linux environments and troubleshooting, with knowledge of networking and security fundamentals.

Nice To Haves

  • Ownership of major quality components of a product.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS or other public cloud infrastructure for deployment, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with firewall policies and security testing.
  • Experience working with containers or Kubernetes environments.
  • Experience working as part of a remote or distributed team.

Responsibilities
