About The Position

The Software Project Manager II Foundation is responsible for planning, coordinating, and driving delivery of foundation software capabilities that support multiple semiconductor equipment products. This role partners with software development managers, architects, systems engineers, and product teams to ensure common platform components are delivered on schedule, meet quality objectives, and are successfully adopted across the product portfolio. The successful candidate will manage cross-product dependencies, align competing priorities, identify and mitigate risks, and provide clear visibility into roadmap execution for shared software infrastructure and platform initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in technical project management, program management, software engineering, or systems engineering.
  • Experience delivering complex software development programs.
  • Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders across product organizations.
  • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Jira, Azure DevOps, or Project Online similar tools
  • Release planning and dependency management
  • Risk management and project controls
  • Product lifecycle management
  • Platform and infrastructure development concepts

  • Semiconductor equipment, industrial automation, or enterprise platform experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end execution of foundation software projects supporting multiple product lines.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, and foundation roadmaps.
  • Monitor performance and ensure timely delivery of critical platform capabilities.
  • Facilitate milestone reviews, release readiness reviews, and executive status updates.
  • Collaborate with multiple product teams to understand requirements and prioritize platform investments.
  • Align foundation software roadmaps with product and business objectives.
  • Manage dependencies across software, systems, hardware, firmware, validation, manufacturing, and service organizations.
  • Drive decision-making and issue resolution across stakeholder groups.
  • Coordinate planning for platform architecture enhancements, technology upgrades, and infrastructure initiatives.
  • Support design reviews and technical planning activities.
  • Ensure platform capabilities meet scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability requirements.
  • Drive standardization and reuse across product teams.
  • Identify and proactively manage technical, schedule, and resource risks.
  • Develop mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Escalate critical issues and drive resolution through closure.
  • Track cross-functional dependencies and integration readiness.
  • Provide concise and accurate program status to engineering leadership.
  • Maintain dashboards, metrics, and program reviews.
  • Communicate priorities, trade-offs, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Build alignment across geographically distributed teams.
