About The Position

As a member of the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), the Project Management Intern supports project managers delivering a diverse portfolio of enterprise initiatives across technology and business teams. These initiatives may span multiple areas, including security, cloud, UX/UI, AI, software platforms, infrastructure, and operational improvement efforts. This role is designed to provide hands-on exposure to the day-to-day realities of project management in a matrixed environment. Working alongside experienced project managers, the intern will learn how projects are planned, executed, monitored, and adjusted as priorities evolve and new information emerges. The intern will build foundational project management skills while developing an understanding of how project managers communicate, manage change, and drive outcomes in dynamic environments.

Requirements

  • To qualify for this internship, applicants must be full-time students at an accredited college or university and currently classified as a sophomore, junior, or senior. Also, accepting recent graduates (May 2025 or later).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to organize and summarize information clearly.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively in environments where priorities and plans may change.
  • Comfort working across different teams, roles, and levels within the organization.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn how complex initiatives are planned and delivered.
  • Ability to ask questions, seek clarity, and follow through on commitments.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and open to feedback and coaching.
  • Comfortable learning new tools, systems, and ways of working.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Design, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • No prior professional project management experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience coordinating work through coursework, student organizations, internships, or part-time roles is a plus.
  • Interest in technology, problem-solving, and understanding how organizations deliver complex initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Support project managers on enterprise initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist with maintaining project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables using established project management tools and standards.
  • Help track progress, dependencies, risks, and upcoming deliverables, escalating concerns as appropriate.
  • Participate in project meetings and working sessions; capture notes, action items, decisions, and follow-ups.
  • Support preparation of project status updates and reporting for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Assist in coordinating work across cross-functional teams and vendor partners within a matrixed environment.
  • Learn how project managers assess tradeoffs, manage scope changes, and adapt plans as priorities shift.
  • Help maintain project documentation, dashboards, roadmaps, and other artifacts to support transparency and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with EPMO team members to support continuous improvement of project delivery processes and practices.
  • Take on increasing responsibility over time as skills, confidence, and understanding of project management practices develop.
