About The Position

Daktronics is seeking a strategic and execution-focused Product Manager to drive the success of SaaS software in a fast-paced, Agile environment. In this role, you will own the product vision, strategy, and lifecycle for cloud-based applications with shared data platforms and external integrations. You’ll work cross-functionally with customers, business leaders, and development teams to explore market opportunities, set clear priorities, and deliver scalable solutions that create measurable customer value and strong financial performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering and/or Business with strong technical knowledge.
  • 5+ years of software product management experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills: can engage with multiple stakeholders and adapt communication style to be most effective; strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Leading through influence across functional teams and organizational layers.
  • Managing ambiguity and adapting to shifting needs.
  • Developing strong relationships with customers or industry partners and leveraging them to identify and understand customer needs.
  • Vision setting and strategy; successfully championing new and different concepts.
  • Evaluating wide-ranging short- and long-term opportunities and setting clear priorities.

  • The selected individual must be able to travel by air and ground and comply with the Daktronics Driver Eligibility Policy to begin and maintain employment.
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally, up to a week at a time to customer sites, installations, vendors, conventions, company headquarters, etc.
  • Fluent in English, written and verbal.
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Identify customer needs, industry trends, and competition through thorough research and direct engagement.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, partners, customers, technical teams, and other stakeholders to ensure product success.
  • Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Track, report, and improve the products’ financial performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and product development teams to set product priorities.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams in the design and development of new products and features.
  • Partner with product launch teams to ensure stakeholders are prepared to produce, sell, and support our products.
  • Own the product through its full lifecycle, communicating and partnering with stakeholders through transitions.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure smooth product implementation.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback, product usage, and reliability data to continuously improve product offerings.
