About The Position

Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met. This candidate will work closely with the software development teams to verify that they are adhering to the latest software development plans, creating customer value and delivering measurable business benefits. This candidate will be responsible for the delivery of software products to the customer and help to define what this role looks like in the future for software product managers. They will be interfacing with developers, customers, and key team members to help define the automation efforts needed to automate the current software development processes. The selected candidate will look for areas to improve the current process and leverage new infrastructure and techniques to enable more frequent delivery while ensuring software quality. The ideal candidate will be a member of a high-performing team and must be self motivated with an excellent work ethic, time management, and interpersonal skills. Must have demonstrated effective communication skills as the position will require frequent inter organizational and outside customer interactions. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and an Interim Secret clearance to start.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college/university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial combined education, with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
  • Considered an expert, authority in discipline.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access and an Interim Secret clearance to start.
  • Must have demonstrated effective communication skills as the position will require frequent inter organizational and outside customer interactions.
  • Must be self motivated with an excellent work ethic, time management, and interpersonal skills.
