Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
8+ years of software engineering experience with leadership responsibilities in either a functional and/or technical role
Must be able to obtain an active Secret clearance
Ability to lead a medium to large groups
Demonstrated ability to guide individuals through complicated or difficult situations effectively and professionally
Experience with software and systems engineering processes, methodologies, and tools
Deep knowledge in C++ or another High Level Programming Language

Nice To Haves

Prior functional management experience (i.e. general supervision, performance management, staffing)
Embedded software design and implementation
Experience with electronic warfare
Working knowledge of Atlassian Suite
Experience with FACE or OMS Architectures
Experience with MBSE
Cost Account Management/Earned Value Management in a DoD environment

Responsibilities

Provide supervision, mentoring, career development, and performance management for a team of 4-10 software engineers.
Conduct one-on-one and section level meetings.
Provide a safe, inclusive culture.
Support recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of new team members to meet business needs.
Use your technical skills and experience to ensure the design, implementation, and sustainment of our software solutions meet and exceed customer expectations.
Support program execution through cost and schedule management, and metrics tracking.
Collaborate with other functional managers and discipline leads to ensure program success.
Be a major technical contributor to development programs
