About The Position

Under direct supervision, performs support duties for the Software Management Program Office (SMPO) team. Typical duties are routine and require use of standard techniques and procedures. This role involves preparing software management documents and procedures, assisting personnel with software management matters, performing surveillances and assessments, analyzing issues, and developing corrective actions. The position also includes reviewing and approving software implementation plans and grading, acting as an assessor, developing performance indicators, and serving as a liaison. Decision-making authority and recommendations can have a significant impact on the software management program. The role requires following established procedures, providing cross-functional support, managing the site Software Inventory List (SIL), and planning/executing software management techniques, standards, procedures, and policies. Continuous learning and development are expected. The role also involves mentoring, delivering training, and providing technical, administrative, or functional support to the management team, including maintaining SMPO records. Complex duties are performed, along with other job-related duties as assigned. Maintaining knowledge of and demonstrating safe work practices in accordance with all approved safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations is essential, as is active participation in Safety Work Groups.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the preparation of software management documents and procedures and assisting all levels of project personnel in software management related matters
  • Performs surveillances and assessments in accordance to the applicable site or department procedure. Provide the results of these assessments to management
  • Assists in or performs casual analyses and develops corrective actions
  • Review and approve software implementation plans for compliance
  • Review and approve software grading and records evaluations
  • Acts as an assessor or lead assessor and may follow up on assessment findings and corrective actions
  • Develops performance indicators and required trending and analysis reports as assigned
  • Liaison with individuals and units within or outside division or project structures
  • Decision making authority and recommendations which have a significant impact on software management program
  • Responsible for receiving specific and detailed work instructions as to required tasks, and follows established written procedures and techniques to accomplish work activities
  • Responsible for cross-functional support for site organizations pertaining to software management
  • Responsible for management of the site Software Inventory List (SIL)
  • Responsible for planning and executing standard software management techniques, standards, procedures and policies and being capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered.
  • Provides mentoring/people development to direct reports and/or peers
  • Delivers software management training to site personnel
  • Provides assigned technical, administrative or functional support to the management team
  • Assist in the maintenance of SMPO records
  • Performs duties complex in nature
  • Other job related duties as assigned
  • Maintains knowledge of and demonstrates ability to perform work safely in accordance with all approved safety policies, procedures and applicable regulations and performs assigned duties in a safe manner
