Summary The Software Lifecycle & Service Level Analyst supports the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center – Nellis (JITTC‑N) by overseeing software lifecycle processes and service support agreements across the synthetic training environment. This role ensures software systems remain secure, current, cost‑effective, and aligned with Department of Defense (DoD) and JITTC‑N mission requirements. The analyst collaborates with engineering, cybersecurity, program management, configuration management, procurement, vendors, and mission partners to maintain operational readiness and compliance across the entire software portfolio. #LI-MJ1

Requirements

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree in a related field OR; 3 years of relevant experience with a master’s degree in a related field OR; 0 years of relevant experience with a Ph.D. or Juris Doctorate in a related field OR; High school diploma (or equivalent) and 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in DoD or similar regulated environments performing software lifecycle or enterprise information technology (IT) support.
  • Demonstrated expertise in software lifecycle planning and sustainment processes.
  • Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity requirements, Risk Management Framework (RMF), Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance, and patch management methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of Service Level Agrement (SLA) development, vendor oversight, and performance management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Must have had an active Top Secret clearance within the last 24 months.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance, with supporting SAP/SPR clearances. Must have had an active Top Secret clearance within the last 24 months.

Nice To Haves

  • Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Experience supporting simulation environments, test environments, or distributed training systems such as Live‑Virtual‑Constructive (LVC) architectures.
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification or experience with Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) frameworks.
  • Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) or Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM), or equivalent credential.
  • Experience with DoD acquisition processes, service contracts, or enterprise licensing models.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee software from acquisition through retirement.
  • Plan and coordinate deployment, patching, upgrades, accreditation, and end‑of‑life transitions.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD policies, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Risk Management Framework (RMF), and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) guidance.
  • Support testing and validation of updates and new releases.
  • Maintain configuration control, documentation, and version tracking.
  • Identify software risks, recommend mitigations, and communicate impacts.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity and system administration teams to ensure secure lifecycle integration.
  • Manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with vendors and mission partners.
  • Track and report SLA performance metrics.
  • Address vendor performance issues and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Align support agreements with mission needs, budgets, and sustainment plans.
  • Oversee licensing, renewal schedules, maintenance contracts, and technical support agreements.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for software sustainment and SLA concerns.
  • Provide lifecycle guidance to Program Management Office (PMO) leadership and mission stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with test teams to ensure software readiness for interoperability and training events.
  • Support acquisition and budget planning with lifecycle cost and vendor performance data.
  • Maintain inventories of software assets, lifecycle statuses, patch levels, and support agreements.
  • Produce dashboards, reports, briefings, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure documentation aligns with DoD and JITTC‑N governance requirements.
