About The Position

KODA is seeking a full-time Software Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) Engineer to work the Missile Defense Agency's X-Band Radar system. Duties include: requirements/design/code analysis; test and evaluation (review and witness of test activities); safety assessments and reporting. This position will be 100% on-site at Redstone Arsenal.

Requirements

  • Experience performing IV&V activities
  • Ability to review and assess system requirements, radar design specifications, test plans/procedures, test results and performance data
  • Radar domain knowledge (i.e., system architecture, signal processing concepts, tracking and discrimination functions, performance analysis, operations)
  • Experience working with analysis tools and data evaluation
  • Familiarity with programming/scripting languages (Python, MATLAB, C/C++)
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills (ability to communicate via technical reporting and briefings)
  • 4 years of relevant experience
  • BS in engineering, computer science, or a STEM field
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance, or higher, is required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Missile Defense Agency programs
  • Experience supporting IV&V activities for defense programs
  • Experience with XBR radar operational testing; missile defense sensor systems; radar performance modeling or simulation
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle methodologies (i.e., Agile, Waterfall)
