About The Position

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Software Integration Engineer in Fort Worth, TX for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. The Software Integration Engineer will support the full technology development lifecycle, including software design, automation tooling, infrastructure upgrades, and software integration. This role works across aircraft software, high-fidelity simulators, lab environments, constructive simulations, physical hardware, and system-level models. The position requires strong C++, Python, and Linux experience, along with the ability to support complex software integration and CI/CD workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a STEM discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of C++ programming experience.
  • 3+ years of Python programming experience.
  • 1–2 years of experience developing software on Linux, including RedHat or SUSE12.
  • Experience developing software on Linux.
  • Experience with simulation software environments.
  • Ability to develop, integrate, support, and debug software across multiple platforms.
  • Ability to troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and support reliable build processes.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work across engineering teams, scientists, and customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
  • Experience with real-time software development and integration.
  • Experience with simulation software environments or digital twin environments.
  • Strong interest in supporting software development for airborne systems.
  • Experience with aircraft sensors, datalinks, navigation, or weapons.
  • Experience with Open Mission Systems.
  • Experience leading software projects.
  • Experience with hardware integration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, integrate, support, and debug software across multiple platforms.
  • Support aircraft software workflows, virtual development labs, simulators, and lab environments.
  • Troubleshoot and support CI/CD pipelines to keep builds reliable and reproducible.
  • Design and build automation frameworks using open-source, commercial, and in-house tools.
  • Support infrastructure upgrades and software integration activities.
  • Work with aircraft software, high-fidelity simulators, constructive simulations, physical hardware, and system-level models.
  • Participate in daily scrums, sprint reviews, and technical demos.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to solve integration and automation challenges.
