About The Position

Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a Software Integration Engineer 2 to support the integration and operation of software within high-performance computing (HPC) environments. This role focuses on maintaining system stability, supporting mission-critical applications, and ensuring seamless operation across diverse operating systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will work across Linux, Windows, and UNIX environments to install, configure, and support software solutions while enabling reliable performance of HPC systems in operational settings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Minimum 6 years of experience integrating, installing, configuring, and supporting software in heterogeneous environments
• Experience with Linux shell scripting and programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python
• U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a security background investigation and polygraph.
• DOD 8570 IAT Level II Certification
• This position requires an active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph.

Nice To Haves

• Five (5) additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, integrate, and maintain COTS and GOTS software in heterogeneous environments
• Support HPC systems and associated applications to ensure continuous operational performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues across Linux, UNIX, and Windows platforms
• Compile and upgrade software to maintain compatibility and performance standards
• Support multi-threaded and parallel processing applications
• Collaborate with teams to ensure proper integration of software into system environments
• Utilize scripting and programming languages to support automation and system functionality
• Work with configuration management tools to maintain software integrity and version control
• Provide technical support across servers, desktops, and networked systems
