As a Software Engineer II within Honeywell Next Generation Avionics (NGA), you will be part of a team of engineers, developers and designers creating and implementing cutting-edge avionics solutions on the Anthem Integrated Flight Deck platform.In this role, you will have the opportunity to impact the advancement of cutting-edge avionics technologies that improve the efficiency, reliability, and safety of aircraft systems, helping to shape the future of aerospace innovation. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline
- ~2 years of software engineering or related development experience
- Working knowledge of software development, integration, debugging, and testing methodologies
Nice To Haves
- Experience with programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or embedded software development
- Experience with software development tools, version control systems, and automated testing frameworks
- Familiarity with avionics software development lifecycles and industry standards is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, test, and maintain avionics software applications and components
- Contribute to software architecture, design, coding, and integration activities
- Participate in software verification, validation, and testing throughout the development lifecycle
- Perform software impact analysis, debugging, and root cause investigations
- Support certification activities, software compliance documentation, and quality processes
- Collaborate with systems, hardware, and test engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions
