About The Position

The Engineering Development Program (EDP) is a one-year program designed to grow and develop technical and self-leadership skills for participants. The program places individuals in one of four designated Engineering tracks: Software, Data, Cybersecurity, or Infrastructure & Cloud. Each track offers a combination of hands-on opportunities, immersive learning, and a mentoring program to prepare participants for a dynamic career. Participants will explore multiple technologies and learn from various engineers within Travelers. A five-week technical learning accelerator provides classroom, independent, and hands-on learning focused on Travelers' technology, software development lifecycle, enterprise engineering environments, AI-enhanced practices, and Agile methodologies. EDP participants are expected to model exemplary behavior, challenge processes, embrace change, support diverse viewpoints, and celebrate others' successes. The role requires self-starters who explore new technologies, take ownership of their work, manage time effectively, collaborate positively, and demonstrate strong analytical aptitude.
